Collaboration Evolution
Challenge
In 2006, MeetGreen approached me to assist their client, the Eclipse Foundation, in designing website navigation. Initially envisioned as a quick task, the goal was to create a visually appealing and easily updatable navigation menu for developers and content editors.
Approach
Using CSS and HTML, I designed a navigation system that eliminated the need for traditional web button graphics, delivering both functionality and ease of updates. Impressed with the results, Eclipse continued our collaboration, which has since expanded significantly.
Over the years, I have contributed to numerous conferences, handling the production of printed materials, icons, web banner ads, and website updates. At an Eclipse event, I even conducted on-the-fly photography—before the rise of live-streaming social media.
Working closely with the Eclipse Foundation’s in-house production team, my role has focused on art direction and graphic production for web and print. Occasionally, I have contributed CSS and HTML to their web file repository, including work on the main eclipse.org website in 2008.
